You are between 18 and 35 years old and you want to try the International Experience at Canada?
The International Experience Canada (IEC) is a youth mobility program open to young people between the ages of 18 and 35, depending on the country they are from.
By drawing lots you may be eligible for a :
Working Holiday Permit otherwise known as an open work permit which allows you to travel and/or work for several employers;
Young Professionals Permit otherwise known as a closed work permit which ties you to a single employer (if you have a job offer in advance);
COOP INTERNATIONAL Internship, which allows you to enjoy an internship experience abroad.
This program is open to nationals of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States.
The International Experience Canada program allows for:
- The issuance of work permits exempt from Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMI);
- For the Young Professionals and International Co-op work permits, an electronic offer on the employer’s portal is sufficient, thus reducing the steps on the employer’s side and the government fees to $230;
- Processing times are relatively short, ranging from 5 to 8 weeks from the date the biometric data is taken.
